Scones with Salmon
These fast-made, but extremely delicious scones with salmon and arugula are the perfect appetizers for a successful New Year's Eve party. That’s how we love to start in the New Year!
Ingredients for about 12 scones:
80 g butter
2 tbsp sugar
200 ml of milk
350 g of flour
½ packet of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
200g smoked salmon
horseradish cream cheese
graved salmon sauce
1 bunch of rocket
1 egg yolk
sesame
Preparation:
Mix butter with flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Stir in sugar and milk and knead until an elastic dough has formed.
Roll out the dough approximately 1.5 to 2 cm thick and cut out circles with a round shape or a glass.
Place circles on a baking tray lined with Blechrein Black.
Preheat oven to 180 ° C.
Whisk the egg, brush the scones with it and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake scones for about 12-15 minutes.
Cut the scones in half. Spread the bottom of the scone with horseradish cream cheese and cover with salmon and rocket.
Brush the top half with a little graved salmon sauce and place on the bottom half oft he scone.
